With more than three decades of experience, Steven Cheroske has built a distinguished worldwide reputation in residential and commercial interior design.

His career began in visual design, where he rose to become Visual Director for leading department stores including Macy’s, Saks Fifth Avenue, Neiman Marcus, Bullock’s, and The Broadway. In 1989, he founded Steven Cheroske Design in Palm Springs, California, translating his expertise in presentation, proportion, and spatial composition into refined architectural interiors.

In 2025, the studio expanded with the opening of a second office in San Diego, further strengthening its presence in Southern California while continuing to serve clients internationally.​

A Global Perspective
Steven is known for creating highly personalized environments for private clients throughout the United States and Mexico. His residential work reflects architectural clarity, refined materials, and thoughtful proportion.

His projects have been featured in Architectural Digest Mexico, Robb Report Vacation Homes, and San Diego Home and Garden, among other publications. In the commercial sphere, he has completed installations for St. John boutiques across the United States and Europe, as well as Nicole Miller and other distinguished retailers.
Steven’s international work has shaped his design sensibility and understanding of luxury environments.

He designed twelve store-wide promotions for Lotte Department Stores in South Korea and spent over five years consulting for Far Eastern Department Stores in Taiwan, along with projects in Japan, Indonesia, and Singapore. This global exposure informs his disciplined, culturally nuanced approach to space.

Steven is a professional member of the American Society of Interior Designers, the California Council for Interior Design Certification, and the National Council for Interior Design Qualification. These affiliations underscore his commitment to professional excellence and industry standards.
